Introduction
The WSQ Courses at Far East Gemological Institute fall under the Retail Industry framework.

The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system offers a systematic path for individuals to equip themselves with relevant competencies so that they can upgrade their skills, enhance their employability and stay relevant.The WSQ industry skills framework comprise a generic platform of employability skills and "know-how" to work and progress in the industry, and specific occupation skills aligned to individual jobs or job families.

Enhanced funding support under the Skills Programme for Upgrading and Resilience (SPUR) and Professional Skills Programme (PSP) are available for WSQ training.

Trainers and Assessors
The trainers and assessors for these courses have at least 2 years of relevant working experience in the Retail Industry. The trainers would have been certified competent in preparation, delivery and evaluation of training sessions or relevant National Trainer Competency Standards certification. Assessors must be certified competent in the conduct of competency-based assessments or relevant national trainer Competency Standards certification.

Certification
A "Certificate of Performance" will be issued, jointly by Singapore Polytechnic and Far East Gemological Institue and one WDA's Statement of Attainment in Provide Advice on Diamond Products.

Funding Incentives
Course Fee: S$480

WDA Funding*: S$432 (90% subsidy)

Nett Course Fee after WDA Funding: S$48 + 7% GST = S$51.36

* Eligibility for WDA Funding:

• Singaporean and PRs (company sponsored or self sponsored)

• Achieve at least 75% attendance

• Complete and pass all required assessments

 
Singaporeans and Permanent Residents can enjoy a subsidy of 90% under the Skills Program for Upgrading and Resilience (SPUR) scheme offered by WDA.

B - Visit Professional & Adult Continuing Education (PACE) Academy counter at 500 Dover Road, Blk T1A, Level 1, Room T1A12.

Confirmed enrolment is based on a first-come-first-served basis upon full payment of course fee. However, registration does not guarantee enrolment to the course.

Participants will receive a letter of confirmation if the course is confirmed and the registration has been accepted.
